Welcome to our wonderful, family school...
The academic year has been filled with much excitement so far and we are now looking forward to a wonderful Christmas half term.  We also look back with great pride on last year's successes in all areas of school life.  We are particularly delighted with our Key Stage 2 results, which reflect the hard work and dedication of our young people and staff team.

Charlton Mackrell School is a Church of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School, providing education for children from four to 11 years of age.  We are very proud to say that love plays a central role here with everyone expected to love their neighbour as Jesus loves us.  Our school is set in glorious Somerset countryside and serves the communities of the Charltons and Kingsdon and surrounding villages.  We are lucky to have great support from our Parish partners and village communities, parents and our governing body.

We would very much like the opportunity to welcome you for a visit so that you can see for yourselves why we are proud to say 'ours is a very special school'.  Please do contact us - 01458 223329.  We look forward to meeting you soon.  In the meantime, please take a look at our website to get a flavour of life at Charlton Mackrell Church of England Primary School.

We are very proud that we achieved an OUTSTANDING SIAMS inspection and that the OFSTED inspector judged us as continuing to be a good school.

Gilly Kempton, Headteacher
