Both schools have a school council.   The aim of our School Councils is to involve pupils in decision making in and around the school.  Two children from each year group are elected by their peers to be on the School Council, representing the voice and views of all children.  The School Council discuss any points raised and vote on a course of action.

Cutcombe School Council

 

Miss Worrall attends the Cutcombe School Council meetings and help keep the minutes and contribute to discussions.    This year the focus will be on improving playtimes.

Events we have been involved in the past

  •  Children in Need - selling badges and wristbands, arranging for children to come into school wearing 'Spots or Strips' and a colouring competition
  • Anti-bullying week - suggested everyone wore odd socks to school on Monday 13th November to raise awareness of us being "All different - All equal"
  •  ECF raising awareness about Emotional Health Week
    • World Book Day - suggested everyone dressed as a character from a book and took part in book related activities in the morning
    • Comic Relief - sent a handwritten letter to parents, asking children to come to school wearing something red and make a donation of at least £1, sold Red Noses and organised a cake sale after Happy Assembly
    • Choosing and ordering equipment using Sainsbury Vouchers

 

 
 
 
 

 

Timberscombe School Council

 

Miss Sparks attends the Timberscombe School Council meetings and helps keep the minutes and contribute to discussions.
