Shopping online? Why not raise money for the Friends at the same time with
It’s really easy and quick:
2. Enter ‘Friends of Haselbury Plucknett’ in the blue ‘Support your cause’ box
3. Complete the registration process (they only need your name and email address, and for you to create a password)
Click here to go straight to the registration page
4. Then search for the retailer of your choice!
Here’s how it works: when you link through to an online retailer from the easyfundraising site, the retailer donates a percentage of your
spend to the Friends. But it only works when you link to a retailer’s site via easyfundraising – so visit their site first!
Registered retailers include Homebase, John Lewis, Holiday Inn, Boden, Argos, Boots, HMV, JD Sports, …
the list is almost endless. Happy shopping!
Who’s who?
Our Chair is Suzie King (mum to Millie), our Secretary is Kate Moseley (mum to Ollie) and our Treasurer is Hannah Tuck (mum to George and James).
What do Friends do?
The Friends organise lots of events throughout the course of the school year including 50p Fridays (please see the noticeboard for the cake rota), Pumpkin parties, Easter Egg hunts,  Christmas Fairs and stalls at the May Fair which the children love.  We have even (bravely!) entered the Parrett Challenge!
The money raised from these events has funded theatre performances at school, transport for school trips, staging and even the school noticeboard!  School budgets are very tight and the money we raise provides our children with opportunities for enhanced learning that they may not otherwise have had.
How can you help?
Come to our meetings – Check the ‘Dates for your Diary’ section or keep an eye on the notice board or our Facebook page (click here)
Make cakes for 50p Friday when it’s your child’s name on the rota – If you’re willing to sell them please let Vicky know.  The Cake Rota is displayed on the noticeboard at school.
Register with easyfundraising  to raise money for Friends when you shop online – Believe us pennies really do make pounds!
Offer to help out at events – Are you willing to paint nails? Hide Easter Eggs? Sell raffle tickets? Make teas and coffees etc?
Suggest new ways of raising money – Richard and Rebecca Robinson (Millie’s parents) hosted some very successful pub quizzes at the White Horse which not only raise lots of money but are also great fun!
