The School, which is Voluntary Controlled, enjoys excellent links with the parish church and its community.  This strong relationship was recognised in the last SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican & Methodist Schools) Report 2016:

"The Christian ethos promotes an outstanding sense of community in school, church and village which

  brings substantial mutual benefit."
"The school has established a Christian ethos that encourages learning and allows pupils to flourish."
"The school’s Christian values have a positive impact on behaviour so that relationships throughout the
  school are excellent."

Overall the School was judged to be an Good Church School.

School services are held in church at least four times a year and pupils regularly visit the church and churchyard for curriculum projects.  As well as serving on the Governing Body the Vicar and Foundation Governors visit the school frequently, both formally and informally.  The Vicar is always available to offer pastoral support to any member of the school community, including parents and carers.  Please contact the church for more details.

Kingston St Mary School Prayer

All - Our School Prayer

Owls

Dear God

Thank you for Kingston St Mary School.

Buzzards

We have lovely toys and a bright and happy school inside and out.

Our learning is fun and we enjoy seeing our friends and teachers.

Robins

Our school is small, warm and cheerful.

We have a beautiful garden and lots of wildlife and there are exciting places to visit like the church and the spinney.

Woodpeckers

Please help us to do our best work,

To make other people happy, and to look after those who are hurt or sad.

Help us to be kind and to listen to each other, and help us to make the most of our time here.

All - Amen
