Welcome to Milverton Community Primary School

Set in extensive grounds on the edge of the attractive village of Milverton, ours is a school with many features of which we are proud.

We have a record of continuing high academic achievement by our pupils. Our expectations of our pupils are high and we encourage every child to recognise their potential and develop their individual talents.

Our facilities are outstanding. When the school was built in 1993 it gained a design award. It has been enhanced since then by additional facilities, many provided through the fund raising efforts of our parents and governors. Additions have included a computer suite and playground area for the Early Years classes, an area for our Special Needs team and the very popular Adventure Playground. We are fortunate to have extensive school grounds with a variety of natural habitats, which encourages an environmental awareness in our pupils. As an eco school we are very proud to be the holders of our 3rd eco flag.

The curriculum continues to expand. We retain our commitment to 'hands-on' learning and the importance of the creative subjects and thinking skills despite the pressure of the statutory curriculum. We regard 'out of hours learning' as part of our services to our children and families. We run the Milverton School Sports Association every night after school, alongside our Toasties After School Club, which includes creative as well as leisure activities.
