School Council

Who are the School Council?  The 2016-17 School Council Members are: Class 3: Louis, Layla, Ruby, Myles and Blake; Class 2: Florence and Ayden; Class 1 Hollie and Breagh

The aim of our School Council is to involve pupils in decision making in and around the school.  The children are respected as partners in their education.  The School Council allows the opportunity for each year group (from Years 1 to 4) to have their say through a Class Representative.  Nursery and Year R are involved through discussions with their Class Teachers.    The School Council discuss any points raised and vote on a course of action.  Each year new representatives are elected by their classmates.  Deputy Head, Mrs Alison Oakley, attends the School Council meetings and helps keep the minutes and contributes to the discussions.  The Head Teacher, Mr Blazey, is invited at times and gets involved in discussions too.  The School Council meets weekly.

2016-17

The School Council is currently engaged in a number of projects for 2016-17, some of which will involve working with our partner schools across the Exmoor Coast Federation; the main project involves further enhancing pupil wellbeing.
