St Louis Catholic School Weekly Update
18th December 2015

Have a marvellous Christmas break and we look forward to seeing you all in the New Year.

It has been a busy end to the term and I would like to thank all of you who have helped make the last few weeks of term happy and joyful ones for the children. Thank you especially to all of you who came together to celebrate mass at St Catharine’s last Sunday.  It was a lovely occasion.
Mrs Redmond
Sadly Mrs Redmond leaves St Louis today. She has been a wonderful support for children’s learning for many years and she will certainly be missed.
Note from Chair of Governors
The Governing Body would like to say thank you to all the staff involved in the production of Shakespeare's A Midsummer's Night Dream, the Christmas Nativities and this mornings Carol Service. Their hard work is very much appreciated. It is a delight to watch the children show their talents and enjoy themselves. We would like to wish all our families a happy and holy Christmas, May you be safe in your travels over the holidays.
Kate Atkinson
Chair of Governors
Christmas Plays.
I am sure that like me, if you watched any of the Christmas performances over the last few weeks you will agree that the children performed marvellously, singing well and speaking their lines clearly and confidently. Thank you for your generosity for the collections made for Dorothy House. The grand total reached £236.35.
Thank you to children who sang at Hanover Gardens and Belmont Nursing Home yesterday, staff there commented on the high calibre of our pupils, both in singing and in the care and attention given to the residents.
PSA thanks

Thank you to everyone for your support for the PSA this term, especially at the Christmas Fayre last Friday which was very successful. The total funds raised with the fayre, raffle, tea towels and Christmas cards was a massive £2123.45. All profits go back to St Louis PSA to fund events, activities and equipment for the Children. Thank you again for your generosity.
