AT Winsham School we are lucky to have two different P.E. instructors that come into the school and teach Physical Education on a Monday and Thursday afternoon.

Mr Chidgey has worked for Premier Sport for 14 years, well as 10 years voluntary coaching for Bridgwater Bucs basketball team. He has a level 2 basketball coaching qualification, a level 1 wheelchair basketball qualification, and a level 2 in physical education for school sport. An introductory gymnastics qualification, and a go fence (fencing) qualification.  Premier Sport's aims are to give children the opportunity to experience a wide range of sports and activities, developing skills, setting tasks to challenge all ages and abilities, making P.E. enjoyable and inspiring children to lead healthy and active lifestyles for life.

Premier Sport is the UK's largest children's coaching company of its kind. In the autumn terms  we will be covering multi- skills for KS1 to develop there ABC'S agility balance and co-ordination as well as developing skills of special awareness, traveling, sending and receiving, dodging, chasing. KS2 will be covering invasion games, developing  sport specific skills. things like attacking and defending, tactics and leadership.
 
In the spring term Mr Chidgey will be covering gymnastics, and the summer terms looking at striking and fielding activities.
 
Mr Price has worked for Pro-Coaching for 5 years, delivering PE lessons to both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, as well as a range of after school clubs. Pro-Coaching delivers children's sports holiday courses, after and breakfast clubs, high quality PPA cover and supports schools using the sport premium.  When not coaching, you can normally find him on a cricket field somewhere in Somerset, having played for Ilton Cricket Club for 17 years. In the last 5 years he has completed his level 2 coaching qualification in cricket coaching and set up the Junior section at the club, and now coaches over 50 children every week! During the Autumn term, Mr Price will be covering Multi Skills (agility, balance and co-ordination) with both Key stages, using Funs (A Fundamental movement programme created by Ronnie Heath).
